I am immensely elated to share about the publication of the latest book authored by my 22-year-old son Raunak Chaturvedi, titled "Law Relating to Treasure Trove in India". He is currently pursuing his B.A.-LL.B. from Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College, University of Calcutta. It took him almost two years to complete this book.
By the publication of this book, Raunak has become the first person in India (in the approximately 300 years of the judicial history of India) to have written a book on the branch of treasure trove law. No other volume was ever compiled on the law relating to treasure trove in India, making his book the first-ever comprehensive treatise on the subject.
The approximately 850-paged treatise is an exhaustive commentary on the subject, covering all the relevant Acts (Central and State) with their section-wise commentaries; covers important Rules promulgated on the subject by the various State Governments; and above all, provides a panoramic view of the judicial exposition by covering all the judgements on the law with their detailed case commentaries and also the allied judgements.
The book has been graced by the foreword of Justice Talwant Singh (Retd.), former Judge, Hon'ble High Court of Delhi and currently designated Senior Advocate of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
He wrote this book with the hope that it shall fill the existing void in the legal literature and aid everyone, from students, right up to the Law Lords of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in understanding and expounding upon this branch of law. Available for sale on Amazon and Flipkart.
