Great Consciousness

Great Consciousness

The thing about a great realisation is that it flips your perceptions for life, makes you dive into your deep subconscious.

The world we've built around us today is more convenient yet ruthless, a fast pacer yet meaningless, an outgoing yet love-less world. Our skies have a thicker shield of dust, a coverup from the stars. The shimmer we used to look up to. With the stars now gone, the shine of our soul is gone too, leaving us running across in circles just to end up here.

The once existing world has sort of become a fantasy: where our castles were filled from fresh breeze, not dust; where we spoke, not chat; where education was all about learning, not training; where nature co-existed, not preyed upon; where spirituality was a means to love, not violence; and where loving yourself meant happiness and to run, not partying.

And while we ate, drank and gambled, our leaders taught us to stay in this loop, and conveniently die. We saw it and yet had our doubts. As they say, yesterday's doubts become today's reality. It did came crashing upon us: hindsight 2020. This year the world came to a halt, something happened we never expected in our lifetime. A virus locked us in our homes. Therefore, when you run too fast towards your desires, the superpower which we know as God, or the Universe knocks on our doors to give us a break and a chance to heal. Breathe ourselves and let everything flow around us. Sometimes, in order to be recover, we need to fall ill.

Even though we might have not realised, the skyline reminds us of a different time.

After 30 years, the mighty Dhauladhar range is visible from Jalandhar, Punjab, standing almost 200 kms away from the civilians. A clear depiction of how our untouchability towards nature has made it heal again and reminding us if its beauty and its life. Our holy Ganga river has become cleaner than before, making it a safe drinkable water with healing properties that it once was. This realisation has reminded us to smile, clap for one another, explore and love our talents; therefore making us capable of love again: to give and to receive.

These small lovely moments have given us a hope for happier times; for something great for us to happen again. Our old habits have vanished, making way for new beginnings. So, we sleep and imagine a better tomorrow, for another chance to reciprocate the gifts given to us today. Let us not go someplace else to enjoy the essence, let us take care and enjoy stargazing from where we are.
